Radical Christianity

In my lifetime I’ve seen some Christians do some radical things, some good some bad, but never be fearful of radically following Jesus, he loves the unloved and the unloveable, he heals the worthy and the unworthy, he radically loves and follows Yahweh and His word, he was scandalous, he ignored man made religion to honor God.
Truly following Jesus is the most radical thing you can do as a Christian, it cannot be accomplished by way of striving performance or gaining influence it will only be accomplished by radical intimacy and obedience to the father. A lot of Christians I know struggle with the fact of their identity as a child of God, but know this.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The fire of our hands or the fire in our hearts?

We pride ourselves in our ideas, our ideals, our religion, our gods, our science, our establishments, our accomplishments,,, only to set it all on fire?

The following is a story about how when the gospel really comes into culture it renders the things we have established as useless and starts to rebuild hearts and thought processes around kingdom.

“About that time, serious trouble developed in Ephesus concerning the Way. It began with Demetrius, a silversmith who had a large business manufacturing silver shrines of the Greek goddess Artemis. He kept many craftsmen busy. He called them together, along with others employed in similar trades, and addressed them as follows: “Gentlemen, you know that our wealth comes from this business. But as you have seen and heard, this man Paul has persuaded many people that handmade gods aren’t really gods at all. And he’s done this not only here in Ephesus but throughout the entire province! Of course, I’m not just talking about the loss of public respect for our business. I’m also concerned that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will lose its influence and that Artemis—this magnificent goddess worshiped throughout the province of Asia and all around the world—will be robbed of her great prestige!” At this their anger boiled, and they began shouting, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” Soon the whole city was filled with confusion. Everyone rushed to the amphitheater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, who were Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia. Paul wanted to go in, too, but the believers wouldn’t let him. Some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, also sent a message to him, begging him not to risk his life by entering the amphitheater. Inside, the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were there.”

‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19:23-32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So a mass group of hostile people (some of them not even knowing why they were there) are mad, sound familiar?

Things haven’t changed much since the days Jesus walked through earth, as a matter of fact they haven’t changed at all, we live in a time where people filled with the pride of their own knowledge want their way right away, they are spiritually dead and only follow their own logic and instincts, but when the gospel comes to town things are changed, people experience Holy Spirit.

The god Artemis lost its influence because people had a real encounter with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and people were angry because it affected their livelihood, they had built a culture around this false idea and it was decimated when the truth showed up.

So people were angry and a mob ensued, people wanted their money and jobs back, people didn’t like this invisible God ruining their culture they had become so proud of.

“The Jews in the crowd pushed Alexander forward and told him to explain the situation. He motioned for silence and tried to speak. But when the crowd realized he was a Jew, they started shouting again and kept it up for about two hours: “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” At last the mayor was able to quiet them down enough to speak. “Citizens of Ephesus,” he said. “Everyone knows that Ephesus is the official guardian of the temple of the great Artemis, whose image fell down to us from heaven. Since this is an undeniable fact, you should stay calm and not do anything rash. You have brought these men here, but they have stolen nothing from the temple and have not spoken against our goddess. “If Demetrius and the craftsmen have a case against them, the courts are in session and the officials can hear the case at once. Let them make formal charges. And if there are complaints about other matters, they can be settled in a legal assembly. I am afraid we are in danger of being charged with rioting by the Roman government, since there is no cause for all this commotion. And if Rome demands an explanation, we won’t know what to say.” Then he dismissed them, and they dispersed.”

‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19:33-41‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are riots there are talks of insurrections but there is one gospel and the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ is changing the world, the kingdom is being established, the way is a movement that is still changing culture today and challenging the world view, be encouraged in these days! We are part of something that is far bigger and more powerful than we could ever imagine and it is shining a light into the darkness permeating the very finer of all that man has established apart from God.

“When the uproar was over, Paul sent for the believers and encouraged them. Then he said good-bye and left for Macedonia.”

‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭20:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The End Of The World

The second coming of Christ.

I’ll never forget when I first gave my heart to Jesus when I was 10, it was an exciting time! I had Jesus in my heart I had been saved, so in my excitement I began to study the Bible like really read it for the first time in my life… my parents had bought me a NKJV Bible and as I had heard a whole lot about being saved and your typical Bible stories, Samson, David and Goliath etc. I hadn’t heard much else so in flipping through the Bible I saw Revelation, I was like ok it’s the end of the book let’s see what happens. So I began to read and about 7-8 chapters in I realized that yes this is the end… IT IS THE END OF EVERYTHING! I know and understand, the end of the world. So I was legitimately afraid. My mom had a desk in her bedroom that she used to sit at to put on her makeup (I was probably 12) I had crawled under that desk because I truly felt like the world was falling down around me and clutched my Bible, so what now? “I’ll call my dad!” My parents had been divorced for a couple of years at this point and I looked looked up to my dad because he was an former preacher who had went to Billy Graham’s Fruitland Bible college, I thought “he’ll make sense of this.” Thankfully the corded phone reached down to where I was sitting under the desk and I called my dad, who sadly brought no resolve to my revelation of the end of the world… so I read and I read Revelation trying to make sense of this trying to find a foothold in this being something good, I probably read it 8-10 times not really grasping it in my young new Christian mind, so I accepted that (this is scary and I don’t totally understand) and I’ve seen a lot of spiritual leaders use it as a scare tactics which didn’t help my situation. So here I am 38 years later and writing this blog, why? Because Yahweh has started to reveal to me that yes Revelation is the end, but only the end of Satan and his followers, it is our victory!

The kingdom is being established and the church is flourishing and is becoming mighty in the power of Jesus, more than the world has ever experienced since Christ was here and is accelerating into a place of dominion like we’ve never seen before as a family of believers. As this happens Babylon is going to try to rise against us as a church and will ultimately be decimated by fierce warrior Christ. Sure there will be persecution there will be push back but they will not be able to stand against the sons of God, Revelation is the final act of rebellion of evil against God and his sons and we will be triumphant, God wins, we win.

So some of you may be thinking where did you get all this? -from Yahweh, reading Revelation, Daniel and Ezekiel brought much insight to Revelation among just reading the Bible through the years. The perspective isn’t about the end of the world, it’s about our ultimate and final victory, in days of old God’s armies declared their victory before they even started fighting through music and worship, that is a posture that Gods people need to stay in, to live in and dwell in perpetual victory, why? Because Yahweh the ultimate creator and power of the universe has declared it!

People are afraid, more fearful now than ever, and rightly so… if your not sure where you stand with Yahweh your standing against Him and you have every right to be afraid because He is a fierce holy and scary God and you want to be on His side…this was said of Jesus being the cornerstone of our faith, “Everyone who falls in humility upon that stone will be broken. But if that stone falls on you, it will grind you to pieces!””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

God loves you! He is so madly in love with you! Everyone has a seat at his table (through Jesus) no one is rejected or turned away you can come and sit in victory today.

Who goes there?

Who lives in you? Is it an idea? An ideal? A comfortable religious system?

The potency of the things Jesus did while he was here were born in deep intimacy and worship with the father. A lot of us fear it because we will have to take responsibility and authority over the things that (seem) to have a death grip in our lives, the lives of those we love and in our culture…. sickness, depression, fear, anxiety, division, anger, jealousy, lust, racism, slander, pride, selfish ambition, hate.

Just because we have been born into bondage don’t mean that we have to accept that our slavery is common and the norm, because of Jesus and our birthright through him we can have freedom.

We are at war with a BB gun against a formidable opponent because we haven’t been taught that we are the sons of God, that we carry the same power that Jesus carries, that Yahweh loves us as much as he loves his only son Jesus, and as we learn to rest in Him and what He has done for us (his finished work on the cross) we start to see that He is our champion, He is the one who fights for us and there is nothing anyone or anything can do to separate us from his love.

The Judas Agenda VS The Jesus Agenda

The Judas Agenda VS The Jesus Agenda

Don’t assume that every place you walk into that looks like a church is a church, don’t assume that behind every pulpit is a preacher/pastor.

How to know?

Jesus came to show us the true heart of the Father.

Judas showed us what man is truly capable of without God.

Jesus came to serve.

Judas served himself.

Jesus made it easier for us.

Judas made it easier for himself.

Jesus sacrificed his security.

Judas ensured his security .

Jesus let go of all control.

Judas seized and secured his destiny.

Jesus obeyed his Father.

Judas obeyed his own logic.

Jesus set a table for his enemies.

Judas compromised with the enemy.

Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly.

Judas came to  steal and he killed and he destroyed.

Jesus took his dominion over the serpent.

Judas gave into the dominion of the serpent.

Jesus’s love still extends into even you today.

Judas’s love stopped with himself.

Jesus overcame death.

Judas died.

Jesus will inspire and call you into your greatest potential.

Judas’s sermon was a call to disregard faith and grace and bring you into perpetual compromise living in fear out of fellowship with Yahweh.

Jesus’s sermon was God loves you, he loves you so much he sent me… the only way to him, and if you believe in me? my blood has paid it all, he has taken the altar, a place of sacrifice and death and turned it into a table where you can sit and feast with the creator of the universe and have divine love and friendship, honor and holy fear experiencing the ultimate intimacy with Yahweh.

There are good pastor/preachers out there, there are good churches out there, don’t be afraid to get out there and figure it out.

Yahweh means for you to have a family, Jesus established church family, Judas was never a part of the family because Judas never took his seat at the table. Is everyone who don’t take their seat at the table a Judas? No. But you need to find your family, it is essential, do whatever it takes to find them, you are dying without them.

Lay Down Your Weapon

“But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me. But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:52-56‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I am still seeing it today…

“Put your sword in its place.” Was not what the disciples wanted to hear, they were ready for revolution, they were ready for war, but Jesus said no.

This kingdom will not be built on the blood of its enemies it is being built by those who were once enemies… by the love of God that is what changes the way we think (repentance).
Peter put down his sword, not because he wanted to but because Jesus told him too, I’m sure Peter was thinking (ok, now this is getting crazy, the son of man comes to establish the kingdom of heaven and we lay down our weapons?) the answer is YES, lay down your weapons and we are still being asked to lay down our weapons. I have watched some lay down their weapons and never come back In fear , I’ve watched some who continue to hold on to their weapons with a death grip in fear and I’ve seen some who like Peter… realize that the power is in the way Jesus showed us to establish the kingdom (love).

If you are following Jesus you will Be asked or are currently at the place where he is telling you to put your weapon in its place, he fights for you and the Kingdom of Heaven is being established by the God head in the heart of men and women and children through love and intimacy with Yahweh.
Jesus spent his physical time here building the Kingdom this way not sharpening his sword and strategically planning how to overcome the enemy, he knew that His death, burial and resurrection would take care of that for eternity.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So… “Put your sword in its place.”

To hear and do

I’ve spent a lot of time
thinking I have something
to understand
And say for God,
But he has said it all.
Jesus Christ not only
understood the word,
He did the word.
“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Being Excellent

Being excellent

I have come to the conclusion that a lot of times we as Christians we have a misplaced identity, we get the delusion that truly serving Yahweh is being relevant and popular and that couldn’t be further from the truth, you don’t have to be Billy Graham to be great for God.

I think it’s easy to see our spiritual leaders and think If I’m gonna have a successful ministry I need to be like that dude… I’ve tried that and have been very unsuccessful at it and at ministry trying to be something that I’m not, so what are you? Where are you most successful for Yahweh? That can only be realized through intimacy and time with Him, you may be a great warrior mom or an excellent employee and mom, maybe your mission is to be head of your household maybe it’s being a great neighbor, yes these are all things that we want to be excellent at but we can tend to shine light on things in ministry giving them great importance when sometimes loving that dude at work that Hates you and doing a great job even though you don’t get paid enough, or your looked over again and again for a promotion and nothing seems fair is a ministry, and these things can become the hum drum of life. We need to remember that Yahweh is our redeemer and that this day like every day has been anointed and appointed and set forth by Him with you in mind, this day and the opportunities within it will never come again and we do not want to miss the greatness that Yahweh has for us just because we felt like our assignment from Him was minuscule and irrelevant. You are relevant today, maybe not Popular maybe not well known maybe the only people that admire you are some little kids that just want to make a mud pie or build some LEGOs or a McDonald’s employee at the drive through… whatever situation you are in Yahweh has appointed you and anointed you to be the best at whatever it is that you are doing today, so many times I’ve overlooked Yahweh’s assignment on my life in the (hum drum) of life because I was looking to the stars. I am reminded of something Yoda said to Luke in the Empire Strikes Back when he was training on Dagobah. “All his life has he looked away to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was… what he was doing.”

What is Yahweh doing in your midst today? The simplest things are holy and relevant, Jesus said:

“Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:31-32‬ ‭NLT‬‬
